The LIFE Comp0live consortium, formed by Andaltec, project leader, the University of Jaén, Citoliva, Caliplast, Plasturgia, Matricería Peña and the German company Ford-Werke GmbH, has presented today at the International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Fair and Industrias Afines, Expoliva, the real prototyped pieces made with fibers from olive pruning mixed with polymeric matrices (plastic) that have been developed within the framework of the investigation. In the case of Ford-Werke GmbH, parts manufactured using injection molding technology have been shown, such as the footrest and boot trim for the Focus and Mondeo models, respectively. For its part, Matricería Peña has exhibited urban furniture manufactured using extrusion profiles.
